Grab the mic, shoot a short film, write for the campus newspaper, or brush up on your Latin. Getting involved is easy and you’ll find students with shared interests in a variety of clubs and organizations on campus. Want to start something new? Go ahead! Student Government

Student Government and Student Senate

From overseeing student intramural activities to managing a budget of over $50,000 annually for student groups, clubs, and activities, student government leaders play a critical role in shaping life on campus. For example, when students wanted a convenience store on campus, Student Government helped make it happen.

The Student Body President and Vice President meet weekly with the College President and Dean of Students to discuss student needs and ideas. Student representatives engage in these key decision-making groups:

Christian Science Organization

Spiritual life is a foundational element of the Principia College community, which was founded on the teachings of Christian Science more than 100 years ago. Students who choose to be part of the student-led Christian Science Organization (CSO) conduct Sunday church services and Wednesday testimony meetings, lead weekly hymn sings, and sponsor a Christian Science lecture each year. Principia’s CSO is the largest in the world, and all are welcome.

Student-Led Conferences

Principia College students have the opportunity to join one of two student-run conferences each year that bring speakers to campus to share insights on public affairs and international affairs.

International Perspectives Conference (IPC)—provides a platform for individuals to share their passion for social change, learn practical skills and knowledge to work towards social impact, and establish a broader sense of community.
Public Affairs Conference (PAC)—provides a forum for colleges and universities to host speaking events and workshops on current topics such as social media, globalization, and sustainability.
